Children counting days until deployment ends.
Veterans quietly carrying memories they rarely speak aloud.
Military service is woven with sacrifice — visible and invisible.
And while freedom is often celebrated loudly, the cost of it is usually carried quietly.
The Sacred Weight of Service
There is something deeply humbling about those willing to serve something greater than themselves.
Military life demands resilience in places most people never see:
Long separations
Missed holidays
Constant relocations
Emotional strain
Uncertainty
Physical danger
Reintegration after deployment
Starting over again and again

Not for applause.
